In this seminar, we will provide an overview of our current efforts to develop optical instrumentation and computational methods for both pre-clinical and clinical applications. In particular, we will discuss two ongoing projects. The first project is focused on developing Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) endoscopes that could be used for oral cancer diagnosis. The second project is focused on combining FLIM with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for intravascular imaging of coronary plaques to study mechanisms of coronary atherosclerosis development.
