Fenômenos dependentes de spin em semicondutores magnéticos.
A PhD in Physics from Ohio State University (1996), a PhD in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1990), a PhD in Physics from Ohio State University (1996), a postdoctoral degree from Basel (2001/2003) And Free Teaching by the University of Basel, Switzerland (2003). He is currently a full professor at the University of São Paulo, Institute of Physics of São Carlos. In this work, we study the influence of spin-dependent phenomena on spin-dependent phenomena: Quantum Spintronics, spin FETs, spin orbit interaction, Hall effect ferromagnetism, EPR pairs control, shot noise, spin filtering, entanglement, Keldysh formalism, etc. More recently: Graphene, Topological Insulators and Majorana fermions. Visiting professor at several centers of excellence abroad: Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics (Spintronics program / 2006 and Spintronics / 2013 - Sep 30 to Dec 20, 2013) at the University of California at Santa Barbara, University of Basel, Center for Advanced Studies At the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters (Program Spin Flow in Nanostructures, January 2007 to February 2007). He coordinated the 5th International Conference on Physics and Applications of Spin-related Phenomena (PASPS V), Foz do Iguaçu / 2008; He also coordinated the 1st São Paulo School of Advanced Science: Spintronics and Quantum Computation, São Carlos / 2010 and the XX Latin American Symposium on Solid State Physics, Maragogi, March 27-31, 2011. Coordinates the Nucleus of Research in Quantum Nanofísica - - Q-NANO (PRP / USP). Invited Lecturer at the Enrico Fermi School, Varenna / 2012 (three lessons). Chairman of the Research Committee of the IFSC / USP 07 / 2012-07 / 2016. Recent invited lectures: Rashba vs Dresselhaus: a perfect match (Kavli Institute / 2013), "Topological insulators in ordinary III-V quantum wells" (International Workshop "Emergent Relativistic Effects in Condensed Matter", Regensburg), Persistent Skyrmion Lattices of Non -Interacting Electron with Spin Orbit Coupling "(http://iht.univ.kiev.ua/nanoqt2016/, Kiev), Member of the Editorial Board of Physical Review B, mandate Jan / 2008-Dec / 2010 and second term Jan / 2011 To Dec / 2013.
