He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Havana, Cuba (1990), and a PhD in Physics from the University of Havana, Cuba (1998), with a PhD in Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg (MLU-HW), Germany (1995). He was a postdoc at the University of Minho, Portugal (1999-2000), at the University of São Paulo, Brazil (2000-2004), and at the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA (2012-2014) Associate, and soon as Visiting Professor from June to November / 2014. Winner of the Award: 2014 Edward C. Henry Award, granted by the American Ceramic Society (Electronics Division), USA. He has been a PhD MS3 Professor at the Institute of Physics of São Carlos (IFSC) at the University of São Paulo (USP) since 2004. He has experience in Physics (Condensed Matter, Experimental) and Materials Science, mainly in the following subjects: Electroceramic materials (including electric field-assisted sintering); Electrical and di-electric spectroscopy of various materials: ferroelectric (BaTiO3, PZT, etc.), ionic and mixed conductors (ZrO2, CeO2, BaTiO3 doped, etc.), electroceramic versus vitreous and glass- Biodiesel, etc .; Correlation between structural (micro) characteristics and electrical (di) properties in materials.
