Enrollment
In the period of receipt of enrolments, defined in the University of São Paulo graduate Calendar and published together with the results of the Classification Process, the selected candidates must register in the Graduate Service, delivering the following documentation:
Master’s Degree:
I) Enrolment, Declaration of Mandatory Discipline, Guidance and Medical Assistance Forms, duly completed and signed.
II) A copy of the undergraduate diploma, duly registered, or certified with the date of completion of the undergraduate course, containing the date of graduation of degree, obtained in course officially recognised. For this purpose, a diploma obtained in a short degree will not be accepted, except in special cases of academic merit, evidenced by a committee specifically constituted by the Board of Norms and Resources and approved by the Postgraduate Council of USP;
III) A copy of the full academic history of the undergraduate course. Note: In case the candidate has already delivered a copy of the complete undergraduate grades at the time of enrolment, this item should be disregarded.
IV) Candidates for a Master’s degree who have not yet received a degree of their undergraduate course until the date of enrolment, will be prevented from enrolling.
PhD degree:
I) Enrolment, Declaration of Mandatory Disciplines, Guidance and Medical Assistance Forms, duly completed and signed;
II) A copy of the undergraduate diploma, duly registered, or certified with the date of completion of the undergraduate course, containing the date of graduation of degree, obtained in course officially recognised. For this purpose, a diploma obtained in a short degree will not be accepted, except in special cases of academic merit, evidenced by a committee specifically constituted by the Board of Norms and Resources and approved by the Postgraduate Council;
III) A copy of the master’s degree or defense certificate, duly homologated, issued by a competent office.
IV) A copy of the complete academic record of the undergraduate course and another copy of the master’s course. Note: If the candidate has already delivered the copies mentioned above in the act of registration, this item should be disregarded.
Note: It is allowed the enrolment of Brazilian students holding the title of Master duly recognised by CAPES, provided that, upon registration, the Defense Act and the acknowledgement of the title obtained are presented. Brazilian or foreign candidates holding a master’s degree obtained from foreign institutions must obtain, before enrolment, the equivalence of the master’s degree from the University of São Paulo.
