Privacy Policy and the use of cookies on the websites at the ifsc.usp.br domain

The São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC/USP) applies, on the websites hosted at ifsc.usp.br domain, the policy described below, which formalizes our commitments regarding the collection, storage, security and ways of handling your personal data collected when using our websites. We also inform you of your rights as a data holder and how you can exercise them, as provided for in the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados – LGPD (Lei 13.709/2018).

The IFSC administrative systems (sistemas.ifsc.usp.br), which are used on the IFSC Intranet, use session cookies for personalized access to the systems. All data, stored in databases used by these systems, are for the exclusive use of the IFSC for the purposes for which they are intended; not being, under any circumstances, made available for any other purposes. On our websites, at ifsc.usp.br domain, we use primary cookies (essential for the correct operation of the website) and some third-party cookies (mainly linked to plugins used). Session and first-party cookies are cookies issued by ifsc.usp.br domain and are generally used to identify language and location preferences and enable basic website functionality. Registration of data during navigation:

When a user accesses the IFSC websites, the following information is recorded (which are common when visiting Internet websites): date and time of access, website pages visited, browser used, IP address from which the visit originated.

Privacy of data collected through online forms:

When a user fills out forms on the website referring to contact forms via email, the following information may be recorded: name of the user informed, email address, message subject and content, IP address of origin.

The data stored by filling out the form will be exclusively used for the purposes expressed in the pages of the respective forms, and under no circumstances will they be made available for any other purposes. All information stored by filling out the form will only be accessed by qualified employees of the TI department from IFSC (ScInfor/IFSC) and only in the assignment of their functions. Regarding the user’s electronic address (e-mail), informed in the forms, IFSC may use it to send messages to contact the user or to send automatic messages referring to the form filled in by the user.

Unsubscribing data requested by users:

If the user wishes to request to unsubscribe their data that may have been collected through forms filled out on our websites, they must contact the team from the TI department from IFSC (ScInfor/IFSC), by e-mail scinfor@ifsc.usp.br, informing your email and which form was used. Also, through this same e-mail scinfor@ifsc.usp.br, the user can request information about their data that may be stored at IFSC.

If the user receives the newsletter “IFSC Comunicados”, that is because the e-mail is registered in one of the e-mail lists as a professor, employee or student. To request removal of your email from the list, follow the instructions on the page  www.ifsc.usp.br/scinfor/inscricao-para-recebimentos-do-comunicados-ifsc.
