Scalar fields in a five-dimensional Lovelock black hole spacetime.

Abstract: We study the interaction between massive scalar fields and the gravitational field produced by a higher dimensional Schwarzschild solution in a string cloud model. Exact analytical solutions of both angular and radial parts of the Klein?Gordon equation are obtained in terms of the three-dimensional spherical harmonics and general Heun functions, respectively. From these solutions, we examine the interesting physical phenomena related to the Hawking radiation and resonant frequencies.
