Resume:

Patricia C. M. Castilho did her PhD in Physics (2017) at the University of São Paulo (USP) in Brazil under the supervision of Vanderlei S. Bagnato, developing a new experimental system to produce two-species Bose-Einstein condensates and study miscibility phenomena and binary quantum turbulence. From 2017 to 2019, she was a post-doctoral fellow at LKB (Laboratories Kastler Brossel) and Collège de France in the group of Jean Dalibard, where she studied the properties of two-dimensional Bose gases, in particular, discovering a new type of breather and realizing well-controlled Townes solitons. She is currently an associate professor at the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC-USP), in São Carlos, where she studies the superfluid properties of bi- and tridimensional quantum gases, giving special focus to phase transitions and the dynamics of quantum vortices. She is the responsible for two research grants, the "Projeto Inicial" (PI) from FAPESP (Process: 2022/02709-6) and the "Projeto CNPq Universal" (Processo: 406900/2023-0) and a grantee from the Serrapilheira Institute (https://serrapilheira.org/ano/chamada-publica-no-7-2023-ciencia/).She has experience in Physics, focusing on experimental Atomic and Molecular Physics; cold atoms and Bose-Einstein condensation; Superfluidity; Quantum Turbulence; Two-dimensional atomic gases.
