Resume: Since May 2018, I have been an Associate Professor, currently MS-5.3, under the full-time teaching and research regime (RDIDP) in the Crystallography Group, Department of Physics and Interdisciplinary Science (FCI), São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC), University of São Paulo (USP). My research focuses on structural biology in Tumor Metabolic Adaptation, with an emphasis on cryo-electron microscopy. From August 2009 to April 2018, I was a Principal Investigator at the Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio), part of the Brazilian Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM); from 2010 to 2014, I coordinated the D03B-MX1 macromolecular crystallography beamline at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS). I hold a B.Sc. degree in Physics (2000), as well as M.Sc. (2003) and Ph.D. (2006) degrees in Biomolecular Physics from the São Carlos Institute of Physics, University of São Paulo (IFSC/USP). I am a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Biological Chemistry (JBC) for the 20252027 term. I was a member of the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports, in the Cancer area, from 2016 to 2019. Since 2023, I have served as executive manager and associate researcher in the FAPESP Scientific Multi-User Equipment Program project 2022 (2022/11403-8), which implemented the Center for Biological Cryo-Electron Microscopy (CMEB), a multi-user facility at IFSC/USP dedicated to high-resolution cryo-EM structural biology. From october 2023 to july 2025, I served as a scientific advisor to the Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio/CNPEM), with a focus on cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) and on collaboration in the implementation and dissemination of advanced techniques in structural biology. Research activity: Basic Research in Tumor Metabolic Adaptation. Training: Structural Biology, with emphasis on X-ray Crystallography and Cryo-Electron Microscopy, Biophysics, and Biochemistry.
