Personal Page – Professor

Graduated in Physics from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul and has a Ph.D. in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2012). He conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo and the University of California, UC-Davis - USA. Since 2015, he holds the position of Professor (doutor-MS3) at the Institute of Physics of São Carlos (IFSC) at the University of São Paulo. He works in the field of condensed matter physics with expertise in surface physics, focusing on the electronic structure of semiconductor materials, using the techniques of X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Ultraviolet Photoelectron Spectroscopy (UPS). He is involved in the development of nanostructured semiconductor materials and ultra-thin films with applications for green hydrogen generation through photo(electro)catalysis (renewable energy). He also works with the technique of structural characterization of semiconductors using X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) with synchrotron light.
