Resume:

Alberto Tannús has formation grounds in Physics concluded in 1980, Masters in Physics in 1983 and PhD in Applied Physics in 1987, from the Universidade de São Paulo. Today he teaches and performs research in Physics at the Instituto de Física de São Carlos (IFSC), a unit of his university in the Campus of São Carlos. He has experience in Physics, with emphasis in Condensed Matter, working mainly with topics of Optically Detected Magnetic Resonance Phenomena, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and in vivo Spectroscopy (MRS). His incursions in the area of Magnetic Resonance Instrumentation are frequent, having presented important contributions to the development of MR scanners and spectrometers instrumentation for Relaxometry and Analytical Studies, along with his team at the IFSC. He coordinates the Center for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and in vivo Spectroscopy (CIERMag), originated as part of the statewide Neurosciences network CInAPCe, a Program of the Brazilian funding agency FAPESP.
